Evaluation of the status of conversion of Dipterocarpaceae forest into rubber plantation in Dak Lak province

Abstract

    Results of investigation, survey and assessment of the status of conversion of Dipterocarpaceae forest into rubber plantation in Dak Lak Province show that there are 31 rubber plantation projects in the province, of which 29 are planted on Dipterocarpaceae forest land in the districts of Buon Don, Ea H'Leo and Ea Sup with a total area of 6,862.44 hectares. Status of implementation of rubber plantation projects in Ea Sup district shows that there are 12 projects with a total area of 1,775 hectares of rubber trees, of which 03 projects with a total area of 469 hectares of rubber growing well; 05 projects with a total area of 1,011 hectares of rubber growing moderately and 03 projects with a total area of 295 hectares of rubber growing poorly, unsuccessful. Status of implementation of rubber plantations in Ea H'Leo district shows that there are 15 rubber plantation projects with total area of 5,062.9 ha, including 08 projects with total area of 3,606.25 ha of rubber growing well, which have collected latex, 03 projects with a total area of 1111.5 hectares of rubber growing rather well, which starting to collect latex; 02 projects with a total area of 105 hectares of rubber growing poorly or temporarily halted planting and 02 projects with a total area of 231.34 hectares of rubber failed.
