Factors affecting the intention to start a business of pharmacy students - Nguyen Tat Thanh University
Abstract
The study was conducted to determine the factors affecting the intention to start a business of pharmacy students, at Nguyen Tat Thanh University. Research data was collected from 463 students studying at the university through direct surveys using questionnaires. Using exploratory and regression factor analysis methods, the results show that there are 6 factors that have an impact on a students’ entrepreneurial intention, respectively: (1) The support of the educational program, (2) Personal characteristics, (3) Personal traits, (4) Knowledge and experience, (5) Perceived behavioral control, (6) Family business orientation. In addition, the results also show that financial ability and support policies have no impact on the intention to start a business with pharmacy students. The research results will give University leaders a comprehensive view of what factors affect students' entrepreneurial intentions, thereby giving appropriate support orientations, helping students get the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to prepare for when starting a business in the future.
