Abstract
The development trend of the renewable energy industry and the energy transition process in the current period are inevitable. According to assessments, Vietnam has advantages in geography, mechanisms and policies to be able to achieve commitments and energy targets set from now to 2030. In particular, the Central - Central Highlands region, with geographical advantage, the density of renewable energy projects located here is quite dense, leading to the need for skilled human resources to increase in both quantity and quality. For solar energy and wind energy, the highest proportion of labor is concentrated in operations and maintenance (O&M), 43% and 56% for wind and solar power, respectively, ranked second the proportion of labor for installation, testing, and networking is 30%, 17% respectively. However, the rapid development of the renewable energy industry has caused vocational education stakeholders to lag behind in both policy and practice. To fill the current gap, businesses have been responsible for retraining and advanced training for workers in the localities where they operate. Here, the author proposes some solutions for a fair and sustainable energy transition.
