Saigon-Gia Dinh-Ho Chi Minh City: From decisive victory to end the war to the leading role in peaceful development
Abstract
As a city with a remarkable geo-military-political position, Saigon-Gia Dinh, in the anti-American resistance war to save the country, is a strategic guiding point of the Vietnamese revolutionary war. Military and political victory on this battlefield 50 years ago (April 1975), with the most unique feature of keeping Saigon intact, decided to win the final victory and won the national enduring resistance for independence. Over the past half century (1975-2025), with "tradition of ahead", Ho Chi Minh City continues to eradicate difficulties, explore to contribute to innovation, and play as the southern leader in the country’s peace and development.
