Abstract

This study investigates contents and characteristics of Anammox bacteria existing the sludge taken from clarifier of wastewater treatment plant of soy sauce producing factory. The model was operated with swine wastewater, being adjusted concentration of N-NH4 and N-NO2 from 50 mg/l to 200 mg/l. Volume of gas producted during operation time. Once ammonium consumption efficiency is over than 75%, together with recognition signs of Anammox reaction, produced gas sample was collected and sent to laboratory for analysis. From the results, feature symbols of the Anammox reaction during the operation time of the model, the presence of Anammox bacteria was identified in the sludge of wastewater treatment plant, which was enriched with swine wastewater.
