E-book acceptance of students at Quang Ninh University of Industry based on the extended technology acceptance model (TAM)
Abstract
In the context of the rapidly expanding digital transformation in education, e-books are increasingly regarded as an effective tool that enables students to access knowledge quickly, conveniently, and flexibly. However, the level of acceptance and the factors influencing students' use of e-books at Quang Ninh University of Industry have not been extensively studied. This paper employs the Extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to analyze the factors affecting the intention and behavior of using e-books among 280 students from various academic disciplines. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS version 26. The findings indicate that perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEOU), social influence (SI), attitude toward use (ATT), and facilitating conditions (FC) all have significant impacts on students’ intention and behavior regarding e-book usage.
