Current status of factors affecting management of early educational intervention for children with disabilities at non-public special education centers
Abstract
The article analyzes the current situation of factors affecting the management of early education intervention for children with disabilities at non-public special education centers. The study was conducted on 338 subjects, including managers, intervention teachers and parents of children with disabilities, from 18 centers in several provinces and cities across the country. Through the survey method using questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, the paper points out eight main factors affecting the management of early education intervention: (1) management capacity of the center's leadership, (2) management capacity of the professional team, (3) capacity of the early education intervention team, (4) awareness, knowledge and skills of parents about early education intervention, (5) facilities, equipment and teaching aids, (6) learning environment and culture of the Center, (7) participation of stakeholders in the intervention process, and (8) policies, guidelines and directives of the State. From there, the paper proposes a number of recommendations to improve management capacity, improve facilities, promote participation among stakeholders and implement support policies to improve the effectiveness of early education intervention for children with disabilities at non-public centers in the current context.
