Abstract

The right to education is one of the basic, universal human rights and is recognized and guaranteed by international law as well as national law. For children with disabilities—a vulnerable group who face many barriers in accessing education—ensuring the right to education not only has legal significance but is also associated with equality, fairness, and sustainable social development. Vietnam has built a fairly strict legal framework to recognize and ensure the implementation of the rights of children with disabilities. However, practical implementation of this group's right to education remains limited and confronts numerous obstacles. Based on research on the law and clarifying the practice of the right to education of children with disabilities in Vietnam, this article makes a number of recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement, ensuring better education rights for children with disabilities in Vietnam in the current context.
