MUSIC TEACHING FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS UNDER THE DIRECTION TO ACCESS THE COMPETENCIES TO ADAPT THE NEW INNOVATION EDUCATION

Abstract

Currently, the Ministry of Education and Training is implementing the Scheme on renovation of general education. In terms of content, implementation methods and teaching methods of the new educational program, there are many breakthrough changes compared to the past. In particular, there are orientations for teaching according to developing qualities and competencies for students. Along with all other subjects, art education in general and Music in particular are required to focus on teaching methods based on the approach of competence, appreciation of experience, creativity, etc. The problem is that high school music teachers who receive the new curriculum and textbooks will have to follow the method of teaching competence. So, what is competency-based teaching and how can you meet the new requirements?
