THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF VIETNAM'S THEORETICAL THINKING ON LITERATURE AND ART FROM 1975 TO THE PRESENT
Abstract
Since 1975, in alignment with the policy of renovation, our Party has remained steadfast in its stance and perspectives rooted in Marxism‑Leninism regarding culture and the arts. It has continued to renew its thinking, perfecting the theoretical foundations of literature and art, while more clearly defining their position, essential role, content, and characteristics within the context of a newly independent, unified nation advancing towards socialism. The Party has achieved a profound and comprehensive awareness of the necessity to build a contingent of writers and artists. To meet the new requirements and tasks of the revolutionary cause, the Party has renewed its leadership and management approach to literature and the arts ‑ maintaining firm principles while simultaneously promoting openness and flexibility in mechanisms, policies, and laws. This has established a legal foundation to unleash creative potential; ensured care, recognition, and effective utilization of talent; and encouraged intellectuals and artists to uphold their dual identity as both artists and fighters, dedicating their intellect, talent, and efforts to creating numerous literary and artistic works of high ideological and artistic value, making worthy contributions to the revolutionary cause of our country in this era of national resurgence.
