ADAPTATION OF TOUGH TURF PEER PRESSURE QUIZ (TTQ) FOR STUDENTS AT VAN LANG UNIVERSITY

Abstract

This study aims to adaptation the Tough Turf peer pressure Quiz (TTQ) [18] for  students at Van Lang University. The Tough Turf peer pressure Quiz (TTQ) [18] was evaluated by experts as content-equivalent in the back-translation. The pilot study sample included 72 students with a reliability of 0.88, then conducted a survey on 501 students at Van Lang University with a reliability of 0.87, showing that the translation is valid and reliable. can be included in the application. The adapted version is named the Vietnamese Peer Pressure Influence Scale (TTQ-V) with 17 items measuring peer pressure across four components: Group behavior, Group evaluation, Group trends, and Group habits. This study shows that peer pressure positively correlates with all its components, with a regression model yielding an F value of 944.341 and an of 0.88, indicating that 88% of the variation in peer pressure is explained by the model's variables. The Adj.  also reached 0.88, showing the model's strong predictive value for future research. The study has confirms that group factors play an important role in forming peer pressure among students at Van Lang University and also suggests interventions to reduce peer pressure from peer groups
