BUILDING THU DUC CITY IN THE DIRECTION OF A SMART CITY

Abstract

Thu Duc city was established according to Resolution 1111/2020/UBTVQH14 issued by The Standing Committee of the National Assembly on December 09, 2020, which is the first model of city within a centrally-run city in Vietnam. This article presents the basic orientations and tasks in building Thu Duc city in the direction of a smart city, developing it to become a new “pole” of growth, a creative and highly interactive city in the East of Ho Chi Minh City, a “nucleus” to promote socio-economic of Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast region, developing on the foundation of knowledge economy, applying science, technology to have high productivity
