RISK COMMUNICATION ABOUT THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC BY THE HO CHI MINH CITY GOVERNMENT

Abstract

COVID-19 is not only an ordinary health crisis but also an information crisis and socio-economic crisis. Strategies, measurements, and decisions need to communicate to all people through local government levels with appropriate communication channels. Risk communication plays an important role in the prevention of the COVID-19 epidemic. This article focuses on research on risk communication of the Ho Chi Minh City government during the fourth wave of epidemics. Based on the analysis of data, we try to give an overview of the risk communication of the Ho Chi Minh City government during the COVID-19 pandemic, thereby pointing out the obstacles and limitations, also proposed recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of risk communication about the COVID-19 pandemic for Ho Chi Minh City in particular and local authorities in general
