Abstract
Thirty-three spike protein (S) sequences of the SARS-CoV-2 variants and a reference S sequence (QIC53213) were collected from the GenBank database, USA. We identified seven variant lines Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Delta Plus, Iota, Kappa and nine variant lines N1-N9 without WHO code using pairwise S sequence alignment of each SARS-CoV-2 variant and the reference S sequence. The most common mutations on the S of the SARS-CoV-2 variant lines with the occurrence probability are D614G 39.29%, N501Y 14.29%, L452R 1.90%, P681R 10.71% , P681H 9.52%, E484K 8.33% and K417N 5.95%
