Abstract

In the context of the current fourth revolution and Vietnam’s strong interest in STEM education, Technology education is being cared for and valued. Technology subject in the GDT 2018 is a new subject developed from the Technical Crafts of the current educational program – (CT 2006). The content of Technical Crafts in Technology subject is practical and experiential, practical, and integrated, so it is suitable for STEM education-oriented teaching. Teaching the content of Crafts and Techniques in Technology subject to STEM education orientation is currently not really interested in and researched and applied by the teaching staff, using STEM education-oriented teaching processes. which is mostly being done by teachers according to their teaching experience. Teaching the content of Technical Crafts in Technology subject to STEM education orientation will help to form and develop in students technology competence, arouse interest in learning and learn about technology, and lay the foundation for learning. training human resources in the field of STEM. The topic “Teaching technical crafts for elementary students in Thu Duc City in the direction of STEM education” contributes to improving the effectiveness of the teaching process.
