Building and fostering professional qualities and ethics for Journalism students at Ha Long University through the module of Vietnamese Medieval Literature

Abstract

The foundation of a stable and healthy journalism is the qualifications and courage of the writer. President Ho Chi Minh - founder, mentor, and teacher of Vietnamese journalism affirmed: "When talking about journalism, we must first talk about journalists." To do so, each journalist needs to build and foster profes-sional courage in a sustainable way right from the time they are in school in all modules. This article addresses the role and orientation of teaching the Vietnamese Medieval Literature module in the issue of forming and fostering the ideology, out-look on life, and courage of journalists in modern society.
