Research on natural space in Ngo Van Phu’s poetry

Abstract

Surveying three poetry collections May Harvest (1978), Passing the Palm Hill (1986), Question Mark Moon (2006) by author Ngo Van Phu, we see that natural space appeared in 77/191 works (40%). This shows that natural space is a typical artistic feature in his works. The natural space in his poetry has two outstanding characteristics: it is simple, familiar and bears the mark of the midlands. Natural space contributes to marking a very unique style that helps Ngo Van Phu affirm his position on the national poetry scene.
