Investigation into environmental factors affecting the production of Nang kim tubers in Tram Chim National Park, Tam Nong district, Dong Thap province to serve the teaching of Ecology at Dong Thap University

Abstract

Eleocharis ochrostachys grows, develops, and forms tubers depending on soil moisture, soil pH, and water pH. When the soil moisture is around 30-40%, its growth and development are poor, with the tubers remaining dormant. Under acidic soil conditions and when soil moisture is between 70-100%, Eleocharis ochrostachys sprouts, grows, develops, and forms tubers. Upon reaching approximately 4 months of age and a height of 25 - 40 cm, it forms young tubers in the soil. These tubers continue to mature over time as the life cycle progresses.
