The use of YouTube videos to improve speaking skills for university English learners

Abstract

YouTube is one of the most popular social media which brings numerous benefits, especially for teaching English. The paper tries to find out the use of YouTube video in improving students’ speaking skills at university. Library research is employed in the design of this research. In this research, the researcher analysed the data by using some related articles written by the previous researchers to find out the use of YouTube video for students’ speaking skill at university. Based on the analysis it was found that YouTube helped students to improve their speaking skill and increased their interest in studying English because students can use YouTube video everywhere not only in the classroom.
