Feature of ground settlement according to diffenrent methods

Abstract

ABSTRACT
Ground settlement is one of the most important problems in construction calculation and design. The content of the paper presents results of predicting settlements based on different calculating methods according to different deformation characteristics. Based on different deformation characteristics from compression test of executive ground, the settlement value according to one and two dimension models are used for analyzing and comparison with the simulation result. The result of the research helps select the reasonable method for predicting settlement in two-dimensional diagram.
