Overview models of semi - rigid connection in steel frame

Abstract

ABSTRACT:

For the simplicity in the calculation of steel frame structures, it is usually assumed that the beam to column connections as being either rigid connections or pinned connections. Through expriments and the actual working of the steel frame, considering that the beam to column connections are the semi-rigid connections. This article introduces the overview of  behavior connections models in steel frame structures witn semi-grid connections, at the same time introducing some classification methods of semi-rigid connections. The content also mentions some databases of semi-rigid connections, some behavior models of the relationship between moment and rotation angle of semi-rigid connections.
