Spatial model for border economic zone in Vietnam

Abstract

In the context of development and integration towards globalization, border economic zones (BEZs) have been greatly contributing to economic development and maintaining the international peace and security between Vietnam and neighboring countries. In the future, BEZs will continue to grow strongly and in turn become border economic belts not only serving the domestic market but also supporting exports to other countries in the region. At the same time, BEZs will gradually transform existing economic zones that were originally isolated and less-developed areas into important economic centers in border provinces of Vietnam
