The role of pulic participation in management and developing the urban puplic park

Abstract

The role of public gardens and parks are an important space in the city, helping to develop people's physical and mental health, and also a social space, where people meet to share public activities, to create an identity community and city. Therefore, the puplic participation and investors plays a very important role in the development, operation and created the public open spaces, puplic park in many cities worldwide.

This article shares the vision, the international experience in the management and development of the urban puplic parks and gardens and the results of researching of puplic gardens in the historic inner city of Hanoi with puplic participation.
