Research advanced methods to detect defects in solar energy systems and propose use in Vietnam

Abstract

This paper presents an overview of advanced technologies being researched and applied, as well as monitoring and detecting defects in solar energy systems. Solar energy projects often have a very large number of panels. Collecting data and searching for damage with traditional manual methods takes a lot of time and effort. Due to the specific working properties of solar power systems, technologies using infrared imaging and electroluminescence techniques have been researched and applied, showing strong capabilities for collecting data. In addition, artificial intelligence integration is also used to automatically detect damage in the acquired images. The presented methods show potential application, economic feasibility and technical feasibility for the current status of Solar energy projects in Vietnam.
