Transportation criteria towards sustainable urban development in Vietnam

Abstract

The transportation system plays a crucial role in urban development. In Vietnam, there have been initial studies on transportation criteria towards sustainable urban development, however, they have not been standardized and comprehensive enough to be incorporated into legal documents for evaluating transportation systems. This study synthesizes and proposes additional criteria for evaluating transportation towards sustainable urban development in Vietnam. It is hoped that these results will support policymakers and scientists in the development of transportation in green, ecological, and sustainable urban areas.
