THE ELECTRICITY SAVING BEHAVIORS OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN AN GIANG PROVINCE: APPLICATION OF THE THEORY OF PLANNED BEHAVIOR

Abstract

The main purpose of this paper is using the theory of planned behavior (TPB) to predict the electricity saving behavior of young people. The data were collected from 396 students in An Giang province. Data analyses encompass descriptive analyses, reliability tests, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), linear regression analysis. The analysis results show that attitudes, subjective norm, perceived behaviour control have an impact on the intention to save electricity and perceived behaviour control, intention have an impact on the behavior of electricity saving.
