Abstract

The image of a woman appeared early and played a particularly important role in the people's oral artistic compositions. Although the context of the origin of literature has not yet formed feminism, the sense of female beauty is always permanent and impressively expressed. From the perspective of feminist criticism, this article analyzes people's conceptions of the beauty of women in folk tales in terms of appearance, quality, and divinity. Therefore, it is possible to affirm the uniqueness of Vietnamese folktales in the regional and world cultural schools as well as to connect the issue of the Vietnamese's ancient sense of tradition with the civilization of the present day. It now revolves around issues of gender equality.
