Which option for management innovation and reform for public sector in our country today

Abstract

Vietnam has been undertaking public administrative reform and public service reform, transitioning from the “state management” model of the centrally-planned economic system adopted during the 1980s and 1990s to the “public administrative management” model of the socialist-oriented market economic system adopted since the beginning of the 21^st century. Recently, responding to the development trend of the public administration in the developed countries, we are gradually moving to the “public management” and some new management models in public sector.  The following writing presents some insightful thoughts on achievements and current challenges that impede the national economic development. Which model we can choose for making a successful transition to the new management model in public sector in our country?
