PROGRAMMING TEACHING FOR 11th GRADE STUDENTS WITH AN ORIENTATION TOWARDS PRACTICAL APPLICATION

Abstract

On the basis of examining the Informatics curriculum destined for high schools in general and the programming content designated for 11th grade students, together with the employment of programming in solving practical problems in particular, this article aims to propound a method of practical application for the aforementioned demographic. The research results, obtained through the analysis and compilation of theory as well as the observed status quo of Informatics education in the context of the aforesaid type of education institute, have suggested and illustrated the procedure of programming education with an application-oriented trajectory. Through the implementation of the proposed method, whose objective is to resolve realistic issues which are familiar to students as well as relevant to the knowledge attained subsequent to each lesson, not only are the consolidation of knowledge pertaining to codes and amelioration of programming skills encouraged but the awareness of the practicality of Informatics is also promoted amongst students.
