SOME MEASURES TO REMOVE THE MALNUTRITION STATUS FOR PRESCHOOL CHILDREN IN ETHNIC MINORITY AREAS

Abstract

Malnutrition in preschool children is not only a common concern of families and local communities but also of preschool education institutions. In particular, this situation still exists in some ethnic minority preschools that still face many difficulties. Therefore, it is an urgent issue in the current period. In this study, we use two main methods including theoretical research methods and practical research methods in the scope to clarify research problems. Based on overview of research projects on malnutrition in preschool children in general and preschool children in ethnic minority areas in particular, the article investigated the malnutrition situation of school children in 5 preschools in ethnic minority areas in northern Vietnam, thereby proposing 4 positive measures to overcome the malnutrition situation of preschool children in ethnic minority areas. In there, the measure "Raising awareness in the prevention of malnutrition for preschool children in ethnic minority areas" is the most necessary and feasible measure with the average score of 2.92 and 2.9 respectively.
