TEACHING PROFESSION AND ITS ATTRACTIVENESS

Abstract

The paper presents the concept, role and attractiveness of the teaching profession by examining some issues such as social status, image of teachers in society and factors affecting teaching career attractiveness. The paper uses the secondary literature research method and the expert method. Research results show that teaching profession is considered a noble profession in many countries and teachers play a decisive role in improving the quality of education. The paper also analyzes the social status of the teaching profession in some countries around the world, the relationship between social status and the image of teachers as well as the attractiveness of the teaching profession in the current context. Finally, the paper proposes some strategic solutions to increase the attractiveness of the teaching profession, thereby attracting excellent high school students to follow the profession and dedicate themselves to the teaching profession.
