Abstract

Language is a means of communication and perception of the world. For preschool children, language helps children absorb social culture, including coherent language. So, what are the status and measures of coherent language development for 5-6-year-old children in preschool? The work uses a combination of three groups of research methods, namely, group of theoretical research methods, group of practical research methods and group of data processing methods. The results show that most teachers have a fairly comprehensive view and effectively apply coherent language development activities for 5-6 year olds through creative storytelling activities; The teaching of 5-6-year-old children to use non-verbal means of communication in developing coherent language through creative storytelling activities is still limited; Most teachers have not applied information technology in designing coherent language development activities; Collaborative activities with parents in language development for children have not been recognized and appreciated by teachers. The research work has theoretical and practical value in improving the quality of preschool education and preparing psychological premise for 5-6-year-old children entering first grade.
