Abstract

Digital transformation in education plays a significant role in modernizing the education system and is a prevailing trend of our time to meet the demands of the digital economy. However, the process of digital transformation within higher education institutions faces numerous barriers. To ensure success in the digital transformation process of these higher education and college institutions, it is imperative to construct, classify, and assess the barriers effectively. Interpretive Structural Modeling is used to establish the relationships among the barriers and identify the most important key. The research findings have revealed that among the various barriers, issues related to inadequate funding and the challenges faced by educators when changing teaching methodologies are the most pivotal factors. Based on these findings, the authors have put forward a number of recommendations aimed at enhancing the likelihood of success in the digital transformation process within the education sector at Kien Giang Teachers Training College.
