FACTORS AFFECTING THE STEM TEACHING CAPACITY OF PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS - A STUDY OF THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINOUS REGION OF VIETNAM
Abstract
This research aims to identify the factors influencing the STEM teaching competence of primary school teachers in the mountainous northern region of Vietnam. The technique of exploratory factor analysis was used to identify hidden patterns within a collection of 30 questionnaires obtained from 500 elementary school teachers. A total of seven factors were found to influence primary school teachers' STEM proficiency, with educators' awareness of STEM being the most important of these determinants. The outcomes of this study will assist educational institutions and administrators in proposing solutions and determining the optimal implementation order for each solution in the community and school. Since then, teachers not only develop STEM teaching capacity but also improve the quality and effectiveness of STEM teaching in the mountainous region of Northern Vietnam.
