RIGHTS IN REM ON SHIP UNDER VIETNAM LEGAL SYSTEM

Abstract

Rights in rem is provided important by civil law in the perspective of general law. In maritime field, besides the common understanding, rights in rem on ship also have specific provisions. The paper focuses on analyzing the relationship between general and specific regulations, thereby helping to clarify on the rights in rem on ship and propose some recommendations to improve the Vietnamese law on the rights in rem on ship.
