Variation of Gumboro antibody content after injecting antibody against Gumboro disease in poultry
Abstract
Chicken at 25 days old was determined that its serum was negative with Gumboro, after that it was injected with antibody product namely Hanvet-KTG for determining neutral antibody against 4096 Gumboro virus and 8232.76 ELISA titer. The experimental chickens were divided into 3 groups; chickens in group 1, 2 were injected with 2ml Hanvet-KTG, 4ml Hanvet-KTG per individual respectively, chickens in group 3 were not injected (control group). After injection, clinical reaction of the experimental chickens were identified and chicken blood samples were collected periodically for testing antibody. The studied result indicated that the neutral antibody content increased at high level in blood at 72 hrs. after injection, this antibody content was maintained then decreased until 25 days. There was no clinical reaction in the chickens injecting with Hanvet-KTG.
