Abstract
Study on epidemiological characteristics of Feline calicivirus disease in cats were carried out on 471 cats at the Laboratory of Veterinary clinic in Can Tho University. Clinical examination and rapid test by Asan easy test kit (FCV-Ag), manufactured by Asan Company of Korea to determine the status of Feline calicivirus infection in cats. Besides, the effectiveness of treatment for Feline
calicivirus disease was also evaluated in this study. The studied results showed that the rate of cats infected with Feline calicivirus through rapid test at the Laboratory of Veterinary clinic in Can Tho university was 6.58% of total number of the surveyed cats. The infected cats often appeared the
clinical symptoms, such as: conjunctivitis, runny nose, stomatitis, gingivitis, erosive spots on the tongue, anorexia, lethargy, fever, cough, sneezing and drooling, ulcers on the skin of the feet and on the head. The incidence of Feline calicivirus disease in cats depended on the factors, such as:
