SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  1. General regulations 
  • The papers submitted to the Social Sciences Information Review (SSIR) must be original and conform to the journal’s aims and scope: providing research results and new findings in social sciences and humanities to support further research, policy planning and the dissemination of knowledge in social sciences and humanities.
  • The research papers should be between 4.000 – 6.500 words (including footnotes and references), book reviews should be between 1.000 – 2.000 words, and are formatted consistently as follows: Times New Roman; single spacing; font size: 12; A4 paper size; top margin: 2cm; bottom margin: 2cm; left margin: 3cm; right margin: 2cm.
  • SSIR receives all papers via email: tcthongtinkhxh@gmail.com
  1. Preparation of Papers 

- Title of the papers: Uppercase, bold, straight, 12 font size, center alignment.

- Author(s) information: Full name(s); academic title/degree; affiliation; telephone number; email; postal address.

- Abstract: 150-200 words in length. The abstract should clearly state the research objective, research question, methodology and the main results/new findings of the paper.

- Keywords: 3-5 keywords; capitalize the first letter of the first keyword and separate keywords with commas (,).

  1. Introduction: Stating the necessity or reasons for choosing the research topic/issue.
  2. A review of literature on the topic/issue can be written on a separate part or be included in the introduction.
  3. Research approach and methodology: Describing the research approach and methods used, and how the research was conducted.
  4. Research Results: Analyzing the research results and new findings from the research topic/issue.
  5. Discussion (Assessment): Evaluating and discussing the significance of the research results and findings.
  6. Conclusion: Reflecting the overall assessment of the research results and directions for further research (if any).

Notes (if any): Acknowledgments or funding statement (information of organizations that funded the research).

III. Citation and references list: In-text citation and reference list should follow APA-7 style. 

- In-text citations: (Author Name[s], Year of publication, Page[s])

- A detailed reference list is to be provided at the end of the papers:

  1. Books: Author Name(s). (Year of publication). Title of the book in italic. Publishing House.

- For example:

Marwah, R. (2025). India – Philippines Relations: Intersecting Interests, Shared Vision        and     Way Forward. Routledge.

  1. Papers in print journals: Author Name(s). (Year of publication). Title of the paper. Name of the Journal in italics, Volume (Issue), page range.

- For example:

Hồ Sĩ Quý. (2025). An overview of Social Sciences Information Review. Social Sciences Information Review, Issue 5 (2025), pp.15-22.

  1. Papers in online journals: Author Name(s). (Date, month and year of publication). Title of the paper. Name of the Journal in italics, Volume (Issue). URL.

- For example:

  1. Papers in conference proceedings or book chapters: Author Name(s). (Year of publication). Title of the paper, in Title of the Conference Proceedings (in italics). Publishing House, place of publication, page range.

- For example:

Chu Văn Tuấn. (2023). An Overview of Islam in Vietnam: History and Present, in the conference proceeding Islamic Culture and Prospects for the development of Halal Studies in Vietnam. Finance Publishing House, Hanoi, pp.32-39.

  1. For references without a date: Use “n.d.” (no date).
  2. For references with multiple authors: Use an ampersand “&” before the last author.
