Abstract

The Middle East is located in a critical geostrategic region, home to the world's leading oil and gas reserves, and has a great influence on global energy security. In recent decades, the Middle East has acted as one of the main driving forces of global economic, political and military transformation related to the foundation of the world order. Therefore, this area has always been a key target of major powers, including the United States. All US presidential administrations have long deployed their own policy towards the Middle East, and Joe Biden’s administration is no exception. In 2021, after coming to power, based on regional prospects, the Biden administration implemented a new policy towards the Middle East. However, the US government’s focus only on key countries therein has made the political situation in the Middle East even more confusing and complicated.
