Private economy in after two decades of renewal (Đổi mới)

Abstract

The writing reviewed developments of the private economy

in Vietnam after nearly two decades of implementing the

renewal policy (from 1986 up to present), from both the

conceptive and practical perspectives.

The writer briefly presented fundamental viewpoints of the

Communist Party and State of Vietnam towards this

economic sector; stated crucial contributions of the private

economy to the domestic economic growth, some problems

needed to be addressed in order for the private economic

sector to bring into full play its potential in the

socialist-oriented market economy.
