Primary school management attempt to improve educational quality in the current situation

Abstract

Having reviewed Vietnams education through an
article on Nhan Dan (People's) newspaper on 31
December 2005, Dang Quoc Bao agreed with opinions
stated in the above article pertaining to achievements
as well as inadequacies of the educational sector in the
face of requirements posed by the country's integration.
He also expressed his ideas of the primary school
management in an attempt to improve educational
quality at the time beings. Bao attempted to analyze
and indicate the current situation and inadequacies of
the educational sector in the primary school
management, which demonstrate in the following
points:
- Autonomy and responsibility to society of primary
schools is constrained. Principals of these schools
hardly have their autonomy in training programmes.
- Close coordination between the pedagogical circle
and the economic sector in working out educational
economic solutions for primary education is
insufficient.
- Primary education is influenced by too many factors,
which cause negative impacts on educational and
training quality.
From such practice, the author emphasized on the need
to realize the importance of primary education, which
is considered the foundation to formulate a correct
management philosophy of primary educational
institutions.
