Social changes in Vietnam under impacts of WTO admission

Abstract

Acceding to WTO, member countries may benefit from development opportunities, but at the same time have to face risks and challenges. For developing countries like Vietnam, such risks and challenges may be more severe. There will be first of all changes in the economic sector, which is in turn followed by social changes. In such situation, many issues in the fields of security, national defense, homeland protection arise. This article points out changes in these fields and their impacts, helping readers to correctly understand arising complex issues. Finally, it suggests possible solutions to these issues.
