Social justice in market economy and socialist-oriented market economy

Abstract

Social justice has been a long aspiration of the progressive mankind. In the current era, social justice becomes a direct goal achievable by healthy and sustainable development that countries around the world aspire to. However, in reality, this is a challenging quiz that can not be satisfactorily solved by all countries because in order to translate that goal into reality, it is necessary to meet a series of essential subjective and objective conditions, to deal properly relations, especially those exist between growth promotion and equality enforcement in a specific economic model.

With such an introductory premise, the article focuses on the following contents:

A brief review of some outstanding economy models in the world, such as the liberal market economy model; socialist market economy; and, non-production centrally-planned economy model;

Achievements and challenges in combined promotion of economic growth and social justice in Vietnam in 20 years of renewal;

Suggestions on solutions to exercising social justice in the socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam in the time to come.
