Socialist –oriented approach in market economy with swift and sustainable development goals

Abstract

Socialist-oriented approach in market economy

development was for the first time identified at the Ninth

National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam

in 2001. Nevertheless, the fact thus far has shown that

considerable attention to awareness on this issue not only

among managerial officials at all levels but also in the

public is not yet paid. This is because, as the author said,

“the concept ‘socialist-oriented approach’ to market

economy is not yet clearly defined in theory; at the same

time, Vietnam’s market economy objectively remains at

a low development level, the approach is vaguely visible

in the real life”.

In this article, the author attempts to analyze and clarify

the socialist-oriented approach to market economy from

both theoretical and practical perspectives. Based on his

arguments, the author then points out sufficient and

necessary conditions to implement the socialist-oriented

approach in developing a market economy in Vietnam at

present time with swift and sustainable development

goals.
