The real assets crisis in America swiftly spread out when banks brought the mortgages up on the stock exchange floors with a view to involving the third investors in sharing risks with them. This caused the crisis not only spreading in the financial system in America, but also to other financial markets across the world. The crisis developments showed that the situation is worsening with unexpected consequences not only for the United States, but also for the world economy. This article attempts to analyze major impacts of the crisis on Asia as well as its implications for Vietnam. It then forecasts the prospects of the Vietnamese economy.
