Basic criteria for Vietnamese in the current period of international integration (part 1)

Abstract

When the country is entering a new period of the open-door and integration policy, with its accession to WTO, actively and proactively participating in regional and international organizations, it becomes an urgent and particularly pivotal task to develop human criteria imbued with Vietnamese culture. Only appropriate such criteria for Vietnamese are defined, can solutions for building, education, training and development of human beings be worked out in response to requirements posed in the period of boosting industrialization, modernization, door-opening for international integration, ensuring sustainable growth and narrowing the gap of being lag-behind. Identifying correctly and building the people imbued with Vietnamese culture in an appropriate manner commensurate with developmental stages of the country means that a correct medicine is picked up in a medicine parcel prescribed to treat the lag-behind malaise of our country. This article attempts to clarify basic criteria for Vietnamese in the era of international integration.
