Some belief values of Dao Quần Chẹt people (The case of Quân Chu commune, Đại Từ district, Thái Nguyên province)

Abstract

In the context of industrialization, modernization and international integration today, studying to make obvious the cultural values of ethnic groups in order to preserve and promote them in ethnic communal life is extremely necessary. The Dao Quần Chẹt people in Quân Chu commune (Đại Từ district, Thái Nguyên province, Vietnam), in their process of ethnic history, have accumulated quite rich cultural capital, especially in the belief activities.
The belief life of Dao Quần Chẹt people here has many values that have an important role in the construction of new life of local ethnic group. This paper contributes to clarify some of these belief values of Dao Quần Chẹt people, thence putting forward some questions for the activities of preservation and promotion of belief values of Dao Quần Chẹt people.
