Dimensions and social change trends in Vietnam: a sociological perspective

Abstract

Various studies on social change in different fields and aspects of the social life have been conducted in Vietnam. Sociological surveys have found characteristics and the nature of social change over the past time. For instance, in rural northern part of Vietnam, the simple social structure has shifted to a more complex social structure with diversified strata and social groups. However, findings from these surveys on this theme have not yet conceptualized in order to identify the pattern of social change from the micro to macro level. This is the main purpose and content of this article.
