Abstract

Having analyzed and indicated essential, new and interesting values of social psychology knowledge presented in twelve chapters of the book, the writer of this extract underlined a great treasure of knowledge conceptualized in a comprehensive manner – a unique feature of the book. The book was summarized by chapters, including: social psychology as a speciality (chapter 1); social and cultural dimensions of the self (chapter 2); relationships, from birth to intimate love (chapter 3); social awareness: how do we think of life (chapter 4); attitudes and behavior (chapter 5); group influence (chapter 6); grouping: voluntary following, compliance and obedience (chapter 7); convincing (chapter 8); hatred grouping: stereotype, jeopardy and stigma (chapter 9); progress: a thread in the evolution of mankind (chapter 10); tolerance and social support (chapter 11); ethics: competition, justice and cooperation (chapter 12).
