Abstract

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender people are more likely vulnerable to social inequalities, including gender recognition. The article shows that while LGBT’s right to legal gender recognition and other related ones have also been recognized world-wide, little has changed in Vietnam. The survey results reveal that a high proportion of students support the LGBT‘s right to gender recognition as a legal guarantor for gender recognition, reassignment, transgender as well as name change. However, several students believe that it is also necessary to attach conditions to such requests.
